About The Stonesinger Chronicles
What power is contained by stones within stones?
The Stonesinger Chronicles is an epic fantasy podcast. It takes the best part of audio books, the best part of podcasts, and mashes them together along with a wonderful score.
The Long Silence drags on. The Church of Deepstone holds control over most of the continent, but it has been 110 years since their god has spoken. They rule with a subtle touch but extreme measures: every day they feel their control slipping - both inside their ranks, and out of them. Those who know this, fear what measures the faithful might take to maintain their draconian rule.
Meanwhile, the Mages Consortium flourishes. It’s influence has grown exponentially in the 50 years since the treaty with The Church. Recruits flow to their university in Iro to learn of the stones and their configurations. Money, however, is a constraint on travel so primarily children of nobles, merchants, and well off tradesmen, arrive.
But that is not always the case.
Whisper is a young street thief who’d rather read than steal; Talee is an absent minded orphan with an uncanny memory and a penchant for making trouble. These unwilling partners find themselves bound in their journey: They’re going to Iro. But before they can even leave the confines of Lakewall, troubles rise. Never mind breaking the mold and become mages: Listen bi-weekly and lose yourself in the lush fields of Lakewall, the ghastly woods of The Web, archives hidden deep in mountains, and the steam filled streets of Vocaster.
